Hello St. Gregs. Mr Smithson if you're listening , hello :) we're now old haha. We no longer attend school, wish we were back at St.Gregorys hiding in the woodland area (which is now gone I believe) and having grass wars after the grass had just been cut, they must have been hell for the kids with hayfever. Anyways, just thought we'd let you all know we did fabulously in our GCSE's. :) we're at college now, being pushed further in our education ;) haha. we're also both working, how disgusting is earning money, tell all the kids to stay young for as long as possibly because i would pay a million to eat some more custard and treacle pudding in the dinner hall :) see you all around. People who aren't in the school and who are reading messages on this well i think you should move in this school It fantastic i have only been in this school about half a year and it is cool the teachers are really nice if you get stuck they help you with your work and if you are upset which you will never be at this school just try and see a teacher. Also there is a Bully box and a worry box, in the worry box you stick little worries in and a teacher Miss Smyth takes it and has a little word with you and makes you ok again. Bye for now

Hello all, it's Vicki Cragg here, I'm currently in year 11 and about to take my GCSE's, my friend, Christine Gauntley told me about this site, and i knew i MUST sign it...
The best years of my life were spent at St.Gregorys, the teachers are lovely, help whenever they can and the dinners were very nice!
My fondest memories are: when Rebecca Fenwick's (also of year 11) shoe got flushed down the toilet, when i choked on a berry and also when James Webster fell in the pond!...Good times!
Well good luck to all at the school now, or those who are attending next year, i wish you all the best in everything you do.

Hmmm well its been a good five years or so since i last seen sight of Gregory's and i still miss it - i'd much rather build anderson shelters than sit GCSE's anyday!! After all St wilfrid's does not come equipped with a fully functioning play area. had some good times in primary school - most memorable being when miss carahar found beccy fenwicks shoes in the toilet or maybe james webster falling in the pond it's hard to choose between the two.

I have such lovely memories of st g's. Teahers were great though some were more caring than others -suppose that's the same in all schools. Never the less, I have fond memories of Miss Smyth, Mrs Coats and Mrs Poolan. I hope they are all well as them made me feel so special, and made me try to realise my dreams. I have achieved so much becuase they believed in me. I hope all the pupils that are their now know how lucky they are.

Hi all. I can't believe i recognise some of the names on this site. It doesn't seem so long since I left and ran away to Cyprus. I have nearly finished my AS and it only seems like yesterday that i was studying Macbeth with Mr. Outerside. I don't want to leave this school. It is totally cool and the teachers are mint. Miss McNally does a great job with the after school clubs they are brilliant. Hi there, I attended St Gregory's from about 1957 and still remember how good a school it was ...from Miss Bell throught to Miss Daley ...... The photo on the website shows the school exactly as I remember it. I am now living in Trinidad & Tobago.

I came to this school when I was 6 in 1988 and was there until I went to St Wilfrids in 1993 - and I loved it! I remember Miss Carrahar - who I'm pleased to see is still there! - and who taught me to play the glockenspiel and a song about the land of milk and honey! That was my first introduction to music after which I took up playing brass, singing lessons and am currently learning to play the piano - at 24! I am a qualified chartered accountant now but I'm studying for an open university degree in Music so I can teach music. Thank you to all the teachers who helped me get where I am today - you were my inspiration and made the hard work worthwhile. I hope I can send my children to this school one day - when I have them!
